Message from the President

The biggest cliche that you will hear when entering your university career is “Get Involved”. As a student who had never been involved in school before entering university, I didn’t see the point until I was 1 month into my first semester at the John Molson School of Business at Concordia Unviersity. It was a sign for Concordia’s The Apprentice that changed that for me. Having been a big fan of the TV show and wanting to prove to myself that I had at least some business knowledge, I decided to apply to compete.

The one month (just 4 fridays) of competing to become the next Apprentice taught me so much about the business world. It helped me develop my presentation skills, solve real business problems under the stress of time constraints, lead a team, and most importantly helped me meet business partners and friends.

That’s when I realized that I wanted to give this opportunity to others. I want to be able to enhance the university lives of other students, entrepreneurs and the community. SIFE Concordia has given me that opportunity. As organizers of The Apprentice, Marketing Makeovers, Entrepreneur Exchanges, Let’s Can Hunger and many other programs, we have a direct impact on the lives of many Montrealers. We’ve helped over 20 businesses grow by over $600,000 total, over 70 students learn real business schools and get a large percentage of them jobs, and over 1000 people learn through our events.

So, whether you’re a student or entrepreneur looking to participate in one of our programs, a company looking to partner up on one of our events, or a student that wants be a part of the SIFE Concordia team, I encourage you to read through our site, attend one of our events, or get in contact with us.
