Paul Nguyen

A first year JMSB Finance major, Paul joined SIFE Concordia during the 2009-2010 academic year as VP Finance.

Prior to transferring over to the JMSB, Paul studied Economics for a year and a half at the Concordia Economics department. This provided an acute sense for accuracy and strong analytical skills. He is interested in efficiency of trade mechanisms in money markets.

Coming from a business family background, Paul has been drawn over to the Bachelors of Commerce programme at JMSB for its renowned business competitions and it’s entrepreneurship and management association.

Three years in the Junior Achievement programme, an entrepreneurship programme for High School and College students has reinforced Paul’s business savvy mind, and given him incentives to learn more as part of the SIFE Concordia team. He especially wants to learn about financing business activities and projects.

A product of multicultural Montreal, Paul is fluent in English, French, and Vietnamese and is currently learning Mandarin Chinese at Concordia University. He plans on going to Hong Kong or Singapore on a student exchange programme next year to fast-track his knowledge of the Chinese language and culture.

Upon graduation, he would like to earn the CFA designation and perhaps continue his education with a MBA or Corporate law specializing in taxation.
